Tim Walker is the point per­son for social media at Hoover’s, Inc. He came to the job after sev­eral years as an elec­tron­ics indus­try ana­lyst in Hoover’s edi­to­r­ial depart­ment, and with an even longer his­tory in online com­mu­ni­ties, reach­ing back to his days as the mod­er­a­tor of an inter­na­tional list­serv with thou­sands of mem­bers. Besides writ­ing the Hoover’s Busi­ness Insight Zone blog, Tim has pro­vided busi­ness com­men­tary for many other venues, includ­ing CNBC, XM Radio, BusinessWeek.com, and sev­eral mag­a­zines. He is a grad­u­ate of the Uni­ver­sity of Texas and the Uni­ver­sity of St. Andrews, and is part­way through a Ph.D. in U.S. his­tory at Texas. Tim lives in Austin with his wife and children.
