Social Media Experience
I tweet, Facebook, YouTube and blog. I'm the person everyone goes to when they have questions about trends, social media and technology. Part marketer, part IT superhero, I can set up your accounts and show you the way. My belief is that consulting isn't about going in and doing the job for you. I'm going to build your path to success and give you a map so you can make it to your destination.
Twitter
The biggest claim to fame in Twitter right now is having been a member before Oprah. I was not only a member before Oprah, I've been around for awhile. My biggest success story is running the account for The Women's Museum, now one of the most-followed museums on Twitter - getting the Museum feedback, national awareness and creating a tangible increase in attendance and visitation. I also maintain a personal account and co-tweet for dallashappyhour.
Blogs
I started my first blog in 2006. Since then, I've moved from discussing product placement to my experiences in London to blogging for a museum and documenting the hardships of being a Jersey girl in Texas. Through each outlet I've explored different writing styles, from academic to conversational, and different topics, ranging from cultural discoveries to politics to, of course, puns.
Facebook
Facebook pages are a fanastic tool for spreading the word about events and sharing images and stories. I've worked on 2 Facebook pages: The Women's Museum and Five O'Clock Dallas.
Video
If pictures are worth a thousand words, videos are worth a novel. From video reviews to public service announcements, video's a lot easier than you would think and a great way to share a message.
